Veneers are made of ceramic porcelain, and they're crafted to be an exact fit for your teeth. The ceramic that porcelain veneers are made of is very thin, but it's also designed to be very hard and durable, just like natural teeth. With proper care, porcelain veneers will last for decades.

The process of getting porcelain veneers for your teeth typically requires some local anesthesia, but it should not be painful. At Ora, we bundle the price of our porcelain veneers to save you money. You'll pay between $2,500 – $3,000 per tooth. We charge a flat rate based on the amount of veneers you need. We think this is a more holistic way to approach veneers, which are really about transforming your smile as a whole.

Your teeth are unique, and the number of porcelain veneers you'll need depends on your smile goals. Dental veneers are usually done symmetrically. If you have a porcelain veneer on one tooth on the left side of your mouth, you'll usually also want a porcelain veneer on the same tooth on the right side of your mouth. This means veneers for your teeth usually come in even numbers, like eight or ten.

We refer to porcelain veneers for your teeth as "minimally invasive." Porcelain veneers require removal of some of your natural enamel. This is a minimal amount (no more than 1 to 1.5 millimeters). Some veneers can be placed without removing your natural tooth structure. Changes to your enamel depends on your unique tooth structure, and how you want your veneers to look.

Temporary dental veneers are a tangible way to see how your new teeth will look with veneers. Ora's top-rated dentists place temporary veneers during your second visit, after you've already seen a digital rendering of your new teeth with veneers. Temporary veneers are made from acrylic, and they attach to your teeth in order to give you an accurate preview of what your permanent porcelain veneers will look like. After you've lived with your temporary veneers for a few days, you can talk to your dentist if you want to make any changes. You'll collaborate with your dentist to create the perfect smile for you.

By enhancing your teeth, veneers can also change the shape of your face. Veneers can enhance the soft tissues of the face, improve lip support and make your face look more youthful.

Veneers are considered cosmetic dentistry, so dental insurance typically does not cover this treatment. During your consultation, our top-rated staff will advise if any part of your treatment will be covered by your dental insurance plan.

You care for veneers in almost exactly the same way you'd care for your natural teeth. Simply brush, floss, and rinse with mouthwash. We usually recommend a night guard to protect your veneers from the dental wear caused by grinding. We suggest that you avoid eating hard candies, or any other very hard food that is not found in nature, since these can damage your veneers (just like they can damage your natural teeth). Eating apples, corn on the cob, and other natural foods that require vigorous biting and chewing are absolutely fine for veneers. Choosing veneers doesn't mean you have to dramatically change your routine.
